Litois Houses is a recently built apartment complex of traditional and elegant architecture, right at the centre of Patmos, within 500 m from Sapsila beach, designed to offer you a unique experience of comfort and luxury. Situated on a picturesque location by the sea facing the east it blends harmoniously into its natural surroundings, having olive trees, fig trees and various plants and flowers of the Mediterranean in its courtyard.
The complex consists of seven apartments set up horizontally on a slope, so that all of them have a breath-taking view of the sea and the sunrise. Each apartment’s layout is unique, but all of them share a common aesthetic style in their design. The building materials combine natural stone and wood, ceramic tile floors and wooden ceilings, showcasing authentic Patmian architecture.
The complex and its seven apartments are named after goddesses and deities of the Greek mythology. Litois was the second name of Artemis, goddess of hunting and wild nature, after her mother Leto. Patmos island was originally called Litois in her honour. According to Greek mythology, the island had sunk into the sea. Artemis, with the help of her twin brother Apollo, managed to persuade their father Zeus to bring it back to the surface, so the inhabitants named it after her. The individual apartments are called Dione, Phoebe, Athena, Calypso, Hera, Aphrodite and Hestia.
The picturesque road running along the coast takes you from Skala port to Litois Houses in less than five minutes, as they are less than 2 km away. Continuing south on the same road for 1.8 km, you reach the traditional settlement Grikos. The central location of Litois Houses gives you easy access to the main landmarks and popular beaches of the island. Chora and the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian are just 5 km away.
Ferry boats connect Patmos to Piraeus Port and the surrounding islands. Patmos does not have an airport but there is easy access by flying to any of the nearby islands of Samos, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos and then connecting to Patmos by catamarans, speedboats or conventional ferries.
